The ski area of Sainte Foy is served by modern chairlifts rising from 1550 m to 2620 m. .The resort provides a number of pleasant green, blue and red runs through the trees and has the potential to be larger than that of Ste Foys' more famous neighbours. Mostly the slopes are uncrowded and the snow is in excellent condition, (Ski instructors from Val d'Isère and Tignes come here on their days off.)
Off piste ski
Sainte-Foy offers fabulous off piste routes with stunning scenery:
- the listed village of Le Monal
- the north face of Fogliettaz, one of the best loved off-piste routes in the area, much favoured by local mountain guides because of the quality of the snow which lasts long after other routes have been skied-out.
- the easy off-piste from "Chapelle Saint Guérin" to "Le Planay Dessus" starts with spectacular views across the glaciers and lead you through the pine and spruce forests.

Sainte Foy is also well known for its ski-touring routes with attainable summits of between 3000 and 3800 metres altitude, such as the Archeboc and Ruitor peaks. You can also link up to the Italian valleys of Valgrisenche and Val d'Aosta. The Val d'Aosta is also renowned for it's heli-skiing, one of the few remaining places in Europe where it is not banned. Thanks to its border with this Italian valley, Sainte Foy is one of the only places in France where heli-skiing is still possible.

Alternatively, Sainte Foy is less than 30 minutes drive from some of the finest ski areas in the Alps - Val D'Isere ,Tignes, La Plagne Les Arcs, La Rosière and La Thuile, in Italy - yet it maintains a feeling of exclusivity, away from the hustle and bustle of these larger resorts.
Sainte Foy has more than enough skiing of its own to keep even an advanced skier happy and offers unlimited and varied off-piste skiing in this beautiful unspoilt wilderness.
